John T. (Ted) Armstrong

January 12, 1932 — June 1, 2019

John T. (Ted) Armstrong, age 87, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2019.

Ted was born on Jan. 12, 1932 in Liverpool, Ohio, and was raised in Springdale, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the United States Air Force and proudly served in Alaska. He then moved to California where he worked for 37 years as an aircraft technician for United Airlines. After retirement, he moved to Marble Falls, Texas.

His hobbies were flying model airplanes and sailing. While in California, he loved sailing his boat to Catalina Island and also enjoyed transporting sailboats as a professional crewman. In his later years, he cherished his quiet walks in Meadowlakes.

Ted was a wonderful Christian and a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. He had great pride for his country and was a loving and caring husband, stepfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edmond and Thelma Armstrong; and his sister, Ruthanne Gewax. He is survived by his wife, Ann; stepchildren, Teresa Bryant and son-in-law Ronny Bryant, Ben Beaty and daughter-in-law Mechele Beaty; grandchildren, Leya and husband Brian, James, Laruen, and Alexander; great-grandchildren, Payton, Tyler, and Walker; and nephew, Tom.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 201 FM 1431, Marble Falls, Texas 78654.
