Today is Earth Day in the City of Horseshoe Bay by the proclamation presented at the city council meeting Tuesday, April 19.

Mayor Steven T. “Steve” Jordan presented the proclamation making April 22, 2016 as Earth Day in recognition of the efforts of the Horseshoe Bay Property Owners Association (POA) to establish its first Earth Day Expo. POA President Sam Morrison accepted the proclamation as part of the “global community,” recognized for taking action to create a positive environmental change.

First Earth Day Expo in Horseshoe Bay aims to inform, save the planet

The Horseshoe Bay Business Alliance (HSBBA) and Horseshoe Bay Property Owners’ Association (HSB POA) are teaming up on the first Earth Day Expo in the city. The deadline is Friday, April 1, for businesses to show their interest in conservation by registering for a free table at the event.

The Earth Day Expo, which is free and open to the public, will be Friday, April 22 at HSB POA headquarters at Quail Point (107 Twilight, Horseshoe Bay), from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
