Burnet County Emergency responders were called to a fatality rollover two miles north of Burnet on County Road 200 Saturday evening at approximately 11:26 p.m.
Francisco Acosta, 40, of Burnet, was traveling in a 2001 Chevy Trailblazer heading West bound on County Road 200 when his SUV left the roadway onto the improved shoulder where Acosta over corrected, going back onto the road Acosta lost control flipping his car.
The vehicle landed right side up in the grass ditch on the north side of the roadway and Acosta’s body was ejected from the vehicle, officials said.
“It was raining and the road was wet,” said DPS officer Robbie Barrera.
“That may have played a part in the wreck but we can not be certain,” said Barrera.
Percent 2 Judge Lisa Whitehead pronounced the death of Acosta at 11:36 p.m. Saturday, April 16.
