Jim Garrett
March 22, 1959 ~ Aug. 4, 2016
Jim Garrett, a loved and well known lifelong resident of the Marble Falls and Travis Peak communities, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at the age of 57 while at home.
Jim was born in Burnet (probably against his will – go Mustangs!) to Mary Lou and Joel Ervin “Erby” Garrett on March 22, 1959.
His sister, Cathy, and brother, Joel, completed the happy family of five.
He attended Marble Falls schools where he was a prominent figure in the FFA and football team. He earned an Associates Degree in Range Management from TSTI in Waco, and a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture from Tarleton State University, where he met his loving wife of 36 years, Deborah Ann Cleveland.
They were married in Stephenville on Aug. 23, 1980.
Upon graduation in Stephenville, he began a long and successful sales career in the agriculture, construction, and building industries in the Central Texas area.
