Marble Falls Independent School District administrators are dedicated to an in-person graduation for seniors, but due to COVID-19 prevention measures, the ceremony will have restrictions on attendance and format.

The district will hold its celebration of the 2020 class on the original graduation date of Friday, May 29 with an 8 p.m. start time for Marble Falls High School and a 6 p.m. start time for Falls Career High School. …

Marble Falls ISD to continue community support

Marble Falls Independent School District officials detailed the continuation of closure procedures, including compensation of teachers, at the regular board meeting on Tuesday, March 25.

The district and all campuses will remain closed through at least next week in accordance with Gov. Greg Abbott's executive order to limit gatherings of individuals due to the spread of COVID-19.

During the suspension, however, all district staff members – including teachers, custodians and transportation workers – will be paid. …

Marble Falls Independent School District added three new classes to its expanding catalog of Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses aimed at preparing students for the workforce or continuing education.

In December and January, the board of trustees approved the addition of a general employability skills class and an advanced floral design class. The courses will be offered to students starting in the 2020-21 school year. …

Marble Falls ISD to show signs of construction soon

Residents and parents of Marble Falls Independent School District will soon see tangible evidence of building construction following school board approval of the financing documents for phase two of the $55 million bond projects.

At the Nov. 18 regular school board meeting, the trustees unanimously accepted a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) of $21,268,965 for the bulk of building renovations at several districts across MFISD.
