Janis Sue Troell

Janis Sue Troell (nee Dunn) passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016. She was born to the late Theodore “Pete” and Charlene Dunn in Jim Wells County on Sept. 5, 1945.
Janis attended schools in Alice, Texas and later in Mathis, Texas, where her father ran a machinery parts store.
It was there she met the love of her life, Luther Troell.
They married when she was 18 years old and have celebrated a very full life for over 50 years. From Texas to New York to Dubai and back again, they had many adventures, but the biggest was their family of four daughters and nine grandchildren.
Janis was a loving mother and grandmother and would often say her “babies” were her greatest accomplishment.
Janis loved to travel, whether it was far and exotic or just a drive through the country.
