Cruz Perales Atkinson, 93, a beloved mother, grandmother, granny, godmother, aunt, sister, and friend passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019. She was born on April 27, 1926, in Rio Hondo to Eulalio and Cruz R. Perales.
Cruz was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Marble Falls, Texas. She enjoyed reading the Bible, watching western movies, dancing, playing games such as solitaire, puzzles, word-find, sudoku, and coloring, but most of all she loved the color purple and her garden of flowers. Cruz is preceded in death by her parents, Eulalio and Cruz R. Perales; brothers, Jose Perales, Blas Perales, Francisco Perales, and Juan Perales; sisters, Eulalia P. Garcia, Ventura Atkinson; and son, Billy Joe Atkinson.
