H-E-B to build new, larger Marble Falls store
A new Marble Falls H-E-B store will have more space and more offerings and will be located just west of the existing store.
It's official — a new, larger H-E-B store is coming to Marble Falls and will offer even more value for shoppers in the area.
The current Marble Falls store location at 1503 Ranch to Market Road 1431 West will also be the site of a new H-E-B store on the same property. The existing store will continue operations while the new store is being built, said H-E-B Marble Falls Unit Director David Crail.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to give our customers what they need – a larger variety of products and more shopping space,” Crail said.
“Our customers in Marble Falls have been incredibly patient and are deserving of a brand new H-E-B store that expresses our appreciation for their loyalty. We look forward to bringing a shopping experience for the area that provides the latest and greatest H-E-B with the best quality, freshness and lowest prices for our shoppers.”
The growth of Marble Falls and the strong ties between the store and the community are reasons for the new construction.
H-E-B first opened the current 82,104-square-foot store in 1990 and it sits on a 5.35-acre property. During the past 20 years, H-E-B has spent nearly $7 million to improve and enhance the store, but as more growth continues in the area, the company decided a new store would serve customers better than additional improvements. H-E-B is adding to the land lease for a total of 11.74 acres, and the new, larger store will be built to the west of the current store.
The San Antonio-based company is in the process of initiating the land engineering research needed to develop and design the new store. The square footage, parking lot and features of the new store will be in design for more than a year.
The timeline for the new store construction and opening is dependent upon the land engineering research and store design process. Once the new store is completed, the existing store will be razed to make more parking for the new store. For more information about the local H-E-B store, visit heb.com\marblefalls.
