Llano County official mounts billboard battle

Llano County Pct. 1 Commissioner Peter Jones will host a town hall meeting to gauge support for an effort to ban billboards on a scenic stretch of Texas 71 as well as provide updates for the FM 2900 Bridge construction and the status of the Sandy Creek planned dredging operation.

The town hall meeting is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday April 4 at Quail Point, 107 Twilight in Horseshoe Bay.

Other items scheduled for discussion are a review of EMS services for Horseshoe Bay and surrounding communities by the Marble Falls Area EMS Executive Director Johnny Campbell.

An agenda of the planned town hall also indicated discussion about a solar farm project in Tom Green County to potentially benefit Llano Independent School District.
