Cottonwood Shores and auto theft task force authorities have issued a public warning about a “dangerous felon,” wanted for crimes including illegal possession of a firearm and evading arrest.

On April 3, authorities received reports that Gregory Paul DeLoach, 33, of Burnet County was involved in criminal activity and may pose a threat to public safety.

He's a bad guy. He's been identified in a burglary of a motor vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm and evading,” Cottonwood Shores Police Chief J. Liendo said. “Apparently he's known in the area. He has been in Burnet County.”

A vehicle burglary allegation prompted the most recent search for the suspect.

He could be armed. Everyone needs to show caution,” Liendo said. “If he's seen, they need to call authorities.

If they see him, they need to call 9-1-1
