Woman wearing lifejacket found dead in Lake LBJ

Texas Parks and Wildlife investigators are waiting for the autopsy results of a woman found unresponsive July 11 on Lake LBJ in Kingsland. Authorities believe the death may be related to a jet ski accident, according to a press release.
First responders received a call that afternoon regarding a water-related accident by the FM 1431 bridge near the confluence on Lake LBJ, TP&W officials reported. Game wardens responded to the scene to launch the investigation.
“An unconscious female believed to be in her mid 40s wearing a personal flotation device [which] was recovered at the scene,” the release stated. “A personal watercraft was located nearby.”
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Llano County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Bebe Piatt. The identification of the victim is pending notification of next of kin.
