Members of the Burnet County Republican Club, Burnet County Republican Women and Burnet County Republican Party met at Bill’s Burgers discuss arrangements for their upcoming fundraiser featuring Lt. Col. Allen West, Senator Dawn Buckingham and State Representative Terry Wilson.

The Burnet County Republican Picnic will be held at Bill’s Burgers in Burnet on Sunday, September 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by The Skylarks.

Tickets are $50.00 per person and sponsorships are still available.

Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Allen B. West is a Christian constitutional conservative, combat veteran, and former Member of the US Congress. The Republican served in the 22nd Congressional District in the Florida House from 2011 to 2013. In July 2019, West announced his bid for the chairman's position of the Republican Party of Texas in 2020. He is a frequent guest on Fox News.

His life has been defined as one of service, sacrifice, and commitment to this Republic, the United States of America, coordinators of the event stated in a press release.

He believes it will be conservative, free market policies, not politics that secures a sound economic future for Americans – with growth, opportunity and returning the promise of the American dream for this generation and those to come.

“This event is going to be fun, celebrate America and raise money for all of our Republican candidates to KEEP BURNET COUNTY RED in 2020”, said Londa Chandler, President of the Burnet County Republican Club.

A Platinum Sponsor has purchased 20 Betsy Ross t-shirts from Rush Limbaugh that will be available that night.

Tickets are available at eventbrite, the Burnet Chamber of Commerce and the Burnet County Republican Booth at the Oatmeal Festival Aug. 31 in Bertram.
