Boys basketball aims for improvement under Crain

The Mustangs boys basketball team is returning several key players, including junior Tate Deering, as they aim for the playoffs in Head Coach Travis Crain's first season. The Mustangs will open their season on Saturday, Nov. 23 against Liberty Hill.

With the conclusion of the football and cross country seasons, the Marble Falls boys basketball team has a full roster to begin final preparations for their 2019-2020 campaign.

Several key players for the Mustangs, including senior Josh Whitecotton and sophomore Connor Chase, play other fall sports, and the Mustangs' practices have been limited to honing the fundamentals while first year Head Coach Travis Crain waited for the rest of the team.

“We're excited to get everything going and get everyone over here,” he said. “We finally have everyone, and it's an exciting time for the Marble Falls Mustangs basketball team.”
