Horseshoe Bay business offers customers comfort after tragic incident

Bay Pharmacy, 7407 W. FM 2147, remained open March 25 and offered reassurances to customers that they will continue serving the community in light of a suicide outside their store while the business was closed.

A death, ruled a suicide, outside of a Horseshoe Bay pharmacy, has prompted support from the community for the owner and staff of the local business.

“We are still working with the police to determine what the suspect's motive was to choose our location for his actions,” Bay Pharmacy Owner Jason Pool said. “We have received overwhelming support from the community as this is a difficult time for us.”

The incident happened March 21 around 10:00 p.m.; a time in which the pharmacy, 7407 W. FM 2147, is closed. No one was in the building at the time.

The police did not release the name of the victim, but described him as a 62-year-old white male. …
