Three area churches banded together to ensure celebration of an important Christian holiday was not lost to restrictions of gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak.

First Baptist Church Marble Falls, Lake Shores Church and Rockpile Church hosted a drive-in Easter worship and service in the parking lot of Marble Falls High School on Sunday, April 12 starting at 10 a.m.

To curb the spread of COVID-19, gatherings of 10 or more people are prohibited by state and local governments. The churches upheld the restrictions by broadcasting live music and sermons over the radio and asking attendees to stay in their vehicles.

Motorist church-goers filled the campus as organizers directed them into their parking spots. Social distancing protocol was maintained by utilizing only every other parking space.
