Falls Career High School held a graduation ceremony for the 25 members of its Class of 2016 on Friday night, May 27, at Marble Falls First Baptist Church.
Ten graduates earned scholarships to continue their education.
Six of those were $1,000 Marble Falls Daybreak Rotary Scholarships and four of them will be used by students headed for Central Texas College (CTC) in the fall. They are Alexia Burrage-Difilicia and Devon Jackson, studying culinary arts; Donald Ervi, with sights set on becoming a writer, and Sara Rutland, to become a teacher.
Adrianna Powell will attend Texas A&M Corpus Christi, studying to become a physician. Mercedez Galan will be attending college in Cypress to become a veternarian.
Brittany Veteto earned a $500 scholarship from the Texas Classroom Teachers Association to attend The Salon Professional Academy (TSPA) in Georgetown.
The three recipients of $500 Falls Career High School Scholarships were Amaris Valdez, who will attend CTC to study fashion design; Eithan Layton, also attending CTC in the fall, and Julissa Lopez-Valdez, who has been accepted to a culinary arts school.
