Autopsy ordered in death of HSB woman
Horseshoe Bay Police Chief Rocky Wardlow said in a press release Tuesday, Oct. 24, that an autopsy had been ordered in the death of Sherry Kay Lesley last weekend.
“On Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, the Horseshoe Bay Police Department (HSBPD) responded to 288 La Serena Loop after a 9-1-1 call was received at 7:19 a.m.,” said Wardlow. “The resident, identified as Kent Lesley of Horseshoe Bay, reported that he awoke and discovered his wife, Sherry Kay Lesley, age 61, deceased in the bathtub.”
Sherry Lesley was the founder of gg ganache, now an anchor business of Market on H with a shop in Horseshoe Bay.
Wardlow reported that the couple had attended a social function together on Saturday night. After returning home, the husband went to bed while his wife prepared to take a bath.
Linda Ballard, the Llano County Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace ordered the autopsy to be conducted in order to determine the cause of death.
The body was later transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner Office in Austin. Autopsies are frequent in cases of unattended deaths, but any HSBPD investigation into the death will remain open, pending a final determination by the medical examiner.
