Marble Falls merchants prep for re-opening with guidelines

Rachel Lorance-Jones, owner/operator of Rae's Bar & Grill, and her General Manager Robyn Rivers will be asking patrons to utilize hand sanitizer when they open the restaurant on May 5. The business will set up sanitation stations inside while allowing 20 customers at a time to adhere to phase 1 of the Texas Governor's Plan to Re-open Texas.

Along with unveiling a newly-remodeled venue, restaurant owner Rachel Lorance has crafted a detailed plan for a May 5 re-opening of her business in response to customer support for the state's plan to ease COVID-19 restrictions.

“We didn't know we were going to open this soon. We can only do 25 percent of our occupancy,” she said. “We've been doing the floors, painting, retouching furniture, organizing, deep cleaning. 

“We've set a Tuesday deadline to get it all knocked out,” she added.

Lorance, who owns and operates Rae's Bar & Grill, 904 Third Street in Marble Falls, derives more than 50 percent of her sales from food, allowing her to re-open under the phase 1 section of Gov. Greg Abbott's Plan to Re-Open Texas. …
