DAR offers workshop
The Llano Uplift Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) will hold a free genealogy/membership workshop on Saturday, Aug. 6.
The workshop will have two sessions: the first, from 10 a.m.-noon, and a second, from 2-4 p.m. at the Kingsland Public Library located at 125 Polk Street in Kingsland.
NSDAR is a lineage society open to all women over the age of 18 who can
prove lineage back to a “Patriot of the American Revolution of 1776.” The Llano Uplift Chapter includes members from Burnet, Llano, Lampasas, Blanco counties and beyond.  The purpose of the genealogy/membership workshop is to assist women in determining eligibility for DAR membership in the Llano Uplift Chapter/NSDAR.
