James Leslie Anders

August 18,  1950 — December 2, 2019

James Leslie Anders was born August 18, 1950 in a one room doctor’s office in Celina, Texas.

He earned his nickname “Bo” from his big sister Cathy, because she could not say “brother” when he was born and she could only say, “Bo”. He passed away surrounded by his family on December 2, 2019 at the age of 69.

Bo was an all-state linebacker at Texas City High School. His career on the football field earned him many honors. Bo received a full scholarship to play football at LSU. After one year at LSU, he transferred to The University of Texas at Austin and was part of their 1969 National Championship Football Team.

He married his high school sweetheart, Frann Anders and they had two children, Stacy and Justin.  Bo was a custom home builder for 20 years, building homes in Horseshoe Bay and the surrounding Hill Country.
