Falls Career High School will holds its graduation ceremony tonight, Friday, May 26, at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church,901 La Ventana Drive, Marble Falls.
Marble Falls High School commencement for the class of 2017 is scheduled, rain or shine, for Saturday, May 27, at 7:30 p.m.
To make the event accessible to as many Mustang fans as possible, attendees are invited to sit in both the visitor and home stands in Mustang Stadium.
“With attendance to the commencement ceremony out-growing available home side only seating, the graduation stage this year will be located on the north end of the football
field facing toward the field house,” said assistant superintendent of operations Jeff Gasaway.
“This stage alignment will allow attendees in both the home and visitors’ stands to see the festivities and their graduates as they cross the stage.”
Parking will be available in the home parking lot, the visitor’s lot and at Colt Elementary, where the free Mustang Express shuttle will take attendees to and from the commencement ceremony.
MFISD also announced that this year’s commencement will be streamed live on the web at YouTube.com/c/MFHSProductions/live.
The MFHS Graduation online stream of this year’s graduation ceremony makes it possible for more MFHS families to participate in the event. Whether students have out-of-town family and friends, relatives with health or mobility issues, or people who would like to attend, but have another event or graduation at the same time, the live stream and the ability to watch the recorded event later open up options for more people to cheer on their favorite Mustang’s accomplishments.
“We’re starting the commencement ceremony at 7:30 p.m., a little earlier than in the past, so if there is a weather delay, we still have time to complete the ceremony with a delayed
start at 9:30 p.m.,” said Gasaway. “The live stream also offers the fexibility to view the event in case there is a weather delay the evening of the commencement ceremony.”
