Imagine yourself waving from a shiny new Horseshoe Bay Fire Rescue fire engine in the city's 4th of July parade. Then, quick buy a ticket in the drawing to benefit the Hill Country 100 Club.

Today, Thursday, June 29, is the last day to purchase a ticket for a ride-along on one of the new Horseshoe Bay fire engines in the city's 4th of July parade.

For the donation of $5 each or $20 for five tickets, you not only get a chance to join the parade in a Horseshoe Bay Fire Rescue truck, you support the Hill Country 100 Club.

A winning ticket is good for space for two adults or an adult and a child, four years or older, with a booster seat and an adult qualified to sign the liability waiver for the ride.

Winners must arrive at the Horseshoe Bay Central Fire Station on July 4 at 8:30 a.m. to line up for the 9:30 a.m. parade start.

Tickets may be purchased until 11 p.m. tonight at the Horseshoe Bay Central Fire Station at 1 Community Drive or on line at the Hill Country 100 Club website, www.hc100club.com. The drawing will be held at noon Friday, June 30, and winners do not need to be present for the drawing.

The Hill Country 100 Club, a benevolent, all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 organization, supports first responders and their families. It provides a check for $20,000 for immediate financial support to families of qualified first responders killed in the line of duty, or financial assistance to those responders critically injured in the line of duty in the counties of Blanco, Burnet, Lampasas and Llano. The 100 Club also provides scholarships to those pursuing and qualifying for first responder training curriculums. The 100 Club promises every membership and every donation, including these drawing proceeds, will help achieve the mission of supporting first responders.
