Polling location moves from Burnet County Courthouse to AgriLife

Burnet County residents will no longer vote at the Burnet County Courthouse after commissioners agreed to move the Voting Precinct 2 polling place during Tuesday's regular meeting.

At the request of Elections Administrator Doug Ferguson, commissioners voted to make the AgriLife Extension Office auditorium at 607 N. Vandeveer, Suite 100, Burnet, the site for early voting in the north end of the county as well as the Voting Precinct 2 Election Day polling location.

The move goes into effect for the 2019 November general election, where voters will determine the fate of 10 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution.

For years, the Courthouse has been the early voting site for the north end of Burnet County as well as the polling site for a voting precinct. Voting machines were set up in the miniscule downstairs JP Courtroom. . . .
