Voters head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5 for municipal elections

Voters will go to the polls on Nov. 5 to decide the fate of proposed Texas Constitutional amendments. Locally, voters in Horseshoe Bay will pick city council members, and Granite Shoals voters have a water system upgrades bond issue and charter amendments on the ballot.

Enticed by a wide-open race for mayor and council seats in Horseshoe Bay, more than 14 percent of Llano County's 15,696 registered voters had already cast ballots in next week's general election as of Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Early voting continues through 4:30 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 1, in Llano County and through 5 p.m. in Burnet County, while voting on Election Day will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5. . . .

According to the Texas Secretary of State's office, 2,218 Llano County voters had either voted in person or by mail as of the close of business Oct. 30. In Burnet County, 1,568 ballots had been cast by the county's 31,290 registered voters, or just a little more than five percent.

In addition to the HSB mayor-council election, a dual bond and charter election in Granite Shoals and a second incorporation election in Double Horn, voters are being asked to consider the fate of 10 proposed constitutional amendments. . . .
