Contested races on tap for MFISD, Granite Shoals and Meadowlakes

Contested races will be on the ballot for Marble Falls ISD and in the cities of Granite Shoals and Meadowlakes after the candidate filing period for the May 2 election concluded Friday, Feb. 14.

Meanwhile, the city of Marble Falls is expected to cancel its election after only three candidates signed up to run for the available three seats on the council. The Marble Falls City Council will take action on this at a meeting in March, City Secretary Christina McDonald said. …
