Community rallies for 2020 Marble Falls HS seniors

Over 1,300 people have found a virtual gathering place to show non-traditional support for the 2020 Marble Falls High School senior class in order to replace a potential loss of a traditional graduation.

The introductory paragraph for the Adopt a 2020 Marble Falls Senior Facebook group states, “senior class of 2020 needs to know that we all care for them and understand that it might be hard on them to not be able to spend their last year together with their friends at school before graduating and going on into adulthood.”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott suspended face-to-face schooling for the rest of the year, and group gathering limits put conventional graduation ceremonies in jeopardy. …
