Gerda Leonette Reynolds White, age 83, died peacefully in her home on April 8, 2019, in Marble Falls, Texas.

Robert Lee Woodard

June 30, 1926 – April 11, 2019

Robert Lee Woodard entered heaven on April 11, 2019, at the age of 92, surrounded by his wife and daughter, looking forward to seeing his Lord and Savior.  The Woodard’s had been living with their daughter in Coppell since May 2018 and he passed away in neighboring Lewisville, Texas. He was born in Coleman, Texas, on June 30, 1926, to Bessie Lou (Thomas) and Henderson Allen Woodard.  He and his brother Harold helped his father on their farm and doing carpentry work. Robert learned a lot from his father and an older bachelor that taught him how to do everything right the first time or he had to do it over until it was right.

He was drafted in to the Army during World War II and served at Fort Sam Houston and Sheppard Field in Texas.  He was honorably discharged on November 26, 1945.

Gladys Gwendolyn Atkinson

September 2, 1933 - April 11, 2019

Gladys Gwendolyn Atkinson, 85, of Marble Falls, passed away peacefully at her home on April 11, 2019.  Memorial Services will be held on April 20, 10:30 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, with Mr. Terry Taylor officiating. 

Born Sept. 2, 1933, in Bishop, Texas to Wiley Monroe and Lena Mae Williamson, she graduated from Robstown High School in 1951.  An avid minister of hard work, Gladys spent her life practicing what she preached, beginning her first job at the age of 14, later dedicating 28 years to proudly serving in the Texas State Comptroller’s Office.    

Philip Wayne Boring

Philip Wayne Boring, Sr, 79, of Kingsland, Texas, strummed his last chord on April 13, 2019. The lively melody of his life began on Jan. 24, 1940, when he was born to James Eric and Bessie Lee (Pippin) Boring in Austin, Texas. Phil grew up in Austin and attended McCallum High School. At the age of nineteen, he married his 16-year-old sweetheart Betty – marking the beginning of a life-long love song. The tempo picked up when, a year later, Phil and Betty had a son, Philip, Jr.
