Currently, there have been no cases reported in Burnet County, and we wish to keep this a reality as long as possible!

Burnet County may pick up PACE for infrastructure

Commercial property owners may be able to upgrade infrastructure at their facilities with little to no initial capital outlay under a program being considered by the Burnet County Commissioners Court.

The commissioners will hold a public hearing Feb. 25 to dicuss participation in the Texas Property Assembled Clean Energy (PACE) program, which can make low-interest loans available to property owners to pay for eligible water conservation, energy efficiency, resiliency, and distributed generation projects. …

Cottonwood Shores issues boil water notice

UPDATE: City officials lifted the boil water requirement for residents as of 1:30 p.m. Friday Feb. 14, as per TCEQ water quality testing results and restoration of proper water line pressure.

Radio traffic in Burnet County will sound more active than normal Wednesday, Feb. 5, as first responders take part in an all-day regional emergency exercise.

First responders will gather from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Texas AgriLife Extension Office, 607 N. Vandeveer, Burnet, for the Firestarter 2020 exercise, which is being sponsored by the Capital Area Council of Government (CAPCOG) and Burnet County Emergency Management, where they will take part in scenarios designed to test their emergency response capabilities. …
