The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has approved an updated Water Management Plan that governs how the Lower Colorado River Authority manages lakes Buchanan and Travis.

Texas Parks and Wildlife has identified a missing boater found in Lake Travis Jan. 29 near the Grelle Recreation area.

Dispatchers notified game wardens around 11 a.m. of the report and launched a 24-hour search for the person identified as 53-year-old Tommy Eady of Buda.

The search effort included “multiple boats, side-scan sonar and an unmanned aircraft system, along with a K9 unit.

Jo Karr Tedder had a message for Lake Buchanan Conservation Corp. (LBCC) members Wednesday, Jan. 15, and it probably wasn’t a message most of them wanted to hear.

Tedder is president and founder of the Central Texas Water Coalition, a volunteer non-profit organization whose mission is “to promote responsible water management policies, equitable pricing and greater conservation by all.”
