Police investigates Marble Falls High School classroom attack

A male juvenile will face a possible assault charge, following an attack on another student, captured on video and shared on social media, according to Marble Falls police. Marble Falls Independent School District officials also responded with a letter to parents and communities addressing the safety of students in the classroom.

The incident was reported the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 4 at the Marble Falls High School campus, 2101 Mustang Drive.

Marble Falls High tiny home construction no small task

Construction and welding teacher Shawn Reed and his students put a year and a half into the construction of a tiny home. Marble Falls ISD has put the home on the market, and all proceeds from the sale go back into the CTE program.

Marble Falls High School Career and Technology Education program is making their presence known in the tiny home market after the latest completion of a major project.

“There were challenges along the way,” construction and welding teacher Shawn Reed said. “It's like building a house, but it's not. Everything is so small, but you're building it like a house. All the corners and transitions are trickier.”

The Mustangs football teams played their first of two scrimmages prior to the start of the 2019 season on Friday in Lampasas against a talented Badgers squad.
All of the highs and lows of an opening scrimmage were on display as the Mustangs scored a pair of touchdowns but also allowed some big plays on defense.
“I was happy we scored; I was really hoping we would,” Head Coach Brian Herman said with a laugh. “We knew we had a challenge (with Lampasas), and it was really good for us to pick this scrimmage up to see a good spread attack.”
The Mustangs scored on their third possession of the scrimmage as the newly-implemented Slot-T offense started to warm up. . . .

Marble Falls ISD plans logo short-term 'fix'

The Marble Falls school district is planning a temporary “fix” to the trim color - which apparently displays an orange hue instead of the district gold - that will not limit access to the field during the season.

Marble Falls Independent School District Superintendent Chris Allen acknowledged the logo outline at Mustang Stadium is not what the district expected and hinted at a temporary “fix” in a social media statement on July 26.
