City of Marble Falls to tackle Avenue G traffic concerns

Marble Falls city officials are working on a solution to concerns about heavy truck traffic in a residential neighborhood. One resident captured images of 18-wheelers using the street where he lives, Avenue G, as a cut-through route.

Marble Falls city officials addressed traffic issue concerns April 2 from an Avenue G resident, who expressed that he and his neighbors faced a safety risk and diminishing quality of life due to growing large truck and cut-through traffic in the neighborhood.

In lieu of a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian March 30 at Second Street and U.S. 281, Marble Falls police have asked the public to pay close attention to busy intersections and follow through with calls to emergency workers and police.

Burnet County Commissioners boost funding for airport

A project to restore the static airplane display at Burnet Municipal Airport got a big boost Tuesday, March 27, when the Burnet County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to fund $40,000 of the project through unclaimed Pedernales Electric Cooperative capital credits.
