Llano woman gets three years for stealing from bank

A Llano woman was sentenced in a San Antonio courtroom to three years in federal prison Thursday, April 25, for stealing more than $900,000 from Arrowhead Bank in Llano, officials announced.

U.S. District Judge Xavier Rodriguez sentenced Kelley Ranae Jones, 45, to the prison term followed by five years of supervised release and ordered that she pay $905,372.49 in restitution to the bank, announced U.S. Attorney John F. Bash and FBI Special Agent in Charge Christopher Combs..

DPS identifies victims in Kingsland plane crash

UPDATE: The victims of the plane crash were identified as William Lee Glenn, 69, and John Timothy Sharp, 66, both of Kingsland, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. They were pronounced dead at the scene by Llano County Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Maureen Riggs.

Two people died Easter Sunday, April 21 after an experimental aircraft crashed at an airstrip in Kingsland, near the Legends Golf Course, officials reported. Witnesses believe high winds may have played a factor.
