Henry Albert Klaus, 79, passed away on Aug. 9, 2017. He was born in Rowena, Texas, on Aug. 8, 1938, to Henry Albert Sr and Lorene Klaus.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Klaus; daughter, Beth Bird and husband Steve; son, Raymond Klaus and wife Marion; grandchildren, Leonard, Katie, Christine, Ulysses, Alex and Christa; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Laura Taylor of Kingsland; brothers, James Klaus of Kingsland and Robert Klaus of Bertram as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Burnet.

Arrangements under the care of Jenkins Funeral Home, formerly Edgar Funeral Home of Burnet, Texas.

David Gregory Thompson, born April 23, 1961, entered rest Aug. 3, 2017, at the age of 56 years. He was preceded in death by his father Avery Franklin Thompson. He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Mewhinney Rushing; his sister and brother-in-law, Pamela Lynn and Dale D. Tidwell; his uncle and aunt, Preston Blake Mewhinney Jr. and Suzi Perry; and his beloved girlfriend, Gloria McLaughlin.

Services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 10:45 a.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. If you wish, please make a donation to your favorite charity in lieu to flowers.

Eugene Herbert “Buba” Johns Jr. of Granite Shoals, Texas, passed away July 31, 2017, in Tyler, Texas, with his children by his side. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on October 17, 1950, the only child to Eugene Herbert Johns Sr. and Lotus Johns and Sarah Frances Ledford. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Foster and Eula Johns.

He is survived by his two sons, Shane Foster Johns and wife Lorri, and Terry Eugene Johns and wife Kelly. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, his dear cousins and many friends.

Thomas Terry “Hoss” Nelson

Thomas Terry “Hoss” Nelson was born April 10, 1963, to Mary Ann and Frank Nelson in Marble Falls. Hoss passed Aug. 6, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was a loving single parent of four children and built his world around them and his family. He went to school in Marble Falls and later achieved his degree from Southwest School of Electronics in Austin. He had his own concrete business and recently worked for the Austin Gold Clubs with his two daughters, Elisha and Dani.

Jennie Marie Blackstock Francis, 92, of Livingston, Texas, was born May 5, 1925, to Clyde and Lydia Gould and died July 30, 2017 in Livingston.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother Vincent Gould; two husbands, Lloyd B. Blackstock, married for 41 years, and William (Bill) Francis for 25 years; and stepson Donnie Francis.

Jennie is survived by her legal guardians Lloyd and Barbara Blackstock (a niece and nephew) of Livingston; a stepson, Robert (Pete) Francis of Marble Falls, a stepdaughter, Kay Lynn Elder of Wichita Falls; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Arthur “Art” Wesley Adams III

Arthur “Art” Wesley Adams III, 78, of Spicewood, who valiantly fought cancer for 26 years, died Saturday, July 29, surrounded by his family, his deep, abiding faith in God totally intact.

Art was born in San Angelo on Jan. 6, 1939, the great-grandson of Henry Harrison Adams who laid out the plans for the City of Stillwater, Oklahoma. His grandfather was the first graduate of Oklahoma A&M, now Oklahoma State University.

Kayci Lindig Sprouse

Kayci Lindig Sprouse, “KK”, lost her battle to Breast Cancer at the age of 35 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, TX on July 14, 2017. She was born August 7, 1981 in Fredericksburg, TX to Bill and Peggy Lindig of Johnson City, TX.

Kayci graduated from LBJ High School of Johnson City, TX in 1999. She then attended Texas A&M University in College Station, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy in 2003. Her dream was to follow in her mom’s footsteps and be a hairdresser. She did just that! She built up her clientele at Salons in Marble Falls, but just recently opened her own Salon in Johnson City. Combined, she worked hard for over 10 years doing what she loved. She was passionate about making her clients feel and look beautiful, just as Kayci was inside and out.
