Elizabeth Ann Godfrey-Pogue, 54, of Marble Falls, passed away Nov. 16, 2016. She was born Oct. 9, 1962.

She was preceded in death by father, mother and two brothers. She is survived by husband, Doug Pogue; son, Dominic Pogue; three sisters and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at First United Methodist Chapel in Marble Falls at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, with the Rev. Jon Weems officiating.

Cynthia Ann Vega, 46, born July 24, 1970, in San Antonio, Texas, and her son Santiago Vega Jr., 17, born June 3, 1999, in Austin, Texas, passed away on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Santiago was a senior who attended Lake Travis High School. He was a young, carefree individual who had a passion for skateboarding. Being outdoors and gaming with friends and family was something he enjoyed. Santiago was quite the guitarist who enjoyed music. He was witty, sarcastic, and happy just like his mother.

Carsyn Bennett Oatman of Georgetown, born Sept. 1, 2016, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2016. In his short, sweet life he brought unending joy to his family and anyone who was around him. His sweet smile brought such light to the world.

He is survived by his parents, Theron and Lauren Oatman; siblings, Brennen, Peyton and Caisyn; grandparents Sam Oatman, Ed and Debbie Lown; great grandmother, Betty Menefee; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Diane Oatman.

A service will be held at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Chapel Friday, Nov. 25, at 1 p.m., followed by a graveside service at the Llano City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Texas Game Warden Association, 4367 FM 1047, Hamilton, Texas 76531, 1-800-322-8492.

Pallbearers are Buck Burchett, Braxton Harris, Brent Whitus and Chris Wilson.

Mary Judith Schwab, 77, of Highland Haven, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, Nov. 20, 2016. She was born to Lloyd A. and Mary Ruth (Hampton) LaFond on July 21, 1939, in LaFeria, Texas.

Mrs. Schwab was an active member of the Highland Haven community, where she served as the coordinator for the community center, and worked the election polls. She had a great love for her family, and enjoyed traveling and cross stitch.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Jerry Schwab; sons, Doug Schwab of San Antonio, Texas, and Mark Schwab and his wife Iris of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Debbie Macey and her husband John of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Leah, Jennifer, Nicole, Jessica, Nicholas and Branndan; four great-grandchildren; her brother, Lloyd E. LaFond (Uncle Speedy); daughter-in- law Cindy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Teddy Jack “Jack” Austin passed away on Nov. 26, 2016. He was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Bexar County to Eddie Hubert and Jennette Garrett Austin.

Jack enjoyed playing golf.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Teddy Jack Austin Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Maurice; son, Eddie and wife Theresa; daughter, Donna Williams and husband Dennis; stepdaughter, Shelly and husband Jason Rhodes; two sisters, Joyce Pearson and Laverne Clements; and brother, Jerald Austin. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, Texas, with burial at Marble Falls City Cemetery.

Thomas Walter Ely III passed from this life to life eternal on Nov. 20, 2016, in Boerne Texas. He was born on Oct. 1, 1928, in Fairfield, Texas, to Maurine Pyburn and Thomas Walter Ely Jr. Walter graduated from El Campo High School in 1945 and attended Wharton County Junior College and what was then North Texas State College in Denton. His college career was interrupted by his service in the United States Army, serving in Korea. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Denton and completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in personnel management, graduating in 1955. He also attended the University of Texas in Austin and was a lifelong fan of the Texas Longhorns.

Beverly Turner Smith passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love and generosity.

A celebration of the life and legacy of Beverly T. Smith will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, starting at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 909 Avenue D, Marble Falls.

Beverly was born to Earl and Azalene Turner in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Nov. 29, 1928. She grew up in Baton Rouge, and after graduating from high school, married Robert “Smitty” Smith in August 1946. For 35 years she was an “oil field” wife, following Smitty on domestic assignments in Texas, Colorado and California, and internationally in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. She made many friends in their travels and was able to visit some 20 countries.
