Riley Lee Felps

March 13, 1942~Oct. 21, 2015

Riley Lee Felps, 73, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed  away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015.

He was born on March 13, 1942, in Marble Falls, the son of J.C. and Vida Crider Felps. They preceded him in death.

He served in the U.S. Army and then the Army National Guard.

He is survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, James and Gussie Felps ; four daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Tim Ottersbach, Laurie and Leonard Lay, Ginger and Scott Bryant and Tiffany Jolene Kittle; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Nancy Felps, plus numerous grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, with burial with full military honors following at Tobey Cemetery in Marble Falls, Texas.

Lillie Bell Martin

March 1, 1941~Sept. 7, 2015

Lillie Bell Martin went home to be with the Lord.

Lillie Bell was an angel here on earth.

She passed away on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015.

Lillie was born on March 1, 1941, in Big Spring, Texas, to Andrew Luce and Lillie May Wise.

Lillie was preceded in death by: her husband of 45 years, Buddy Martin; two daughters, Carolyn and Beverly Martin; her parents, and, a granddaughter, Miranda Turner.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Martin, Christine Martin, Mae Pace, Bobbie Smith, Michelle Franklin, Tammy Martin and Paula Turner.

Lillie Bell was the best mother and grandmother with multiple children and grandchildren.

She had six sisters and one brother.

Her sister, Dee Dietrich, was her best friend and the family wants to thank her for everything she has done for our mother.

We will miss you mom.

Marvin Joyce Nitzinger

June 13, 1929~Oct. 20, 2015

Marvin Joyce (Jack) Nitzinger, 86, of Sandy Harbor, Marble Falls, died on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Sandy Harbor.

He was born on June 13, 1929, in Arlington, Texas, the son of John Henry Nitzinger and Nora Huffman Nitzinger.

He married Bobbie Jean McCray in 1954 in Belton, Texas. She preceded him in death in 1976. They had two children, Diane and Michael.

In 1979, he married Norma Jean Hecht Smithey Nitzinger.

He served in the infantry in the Korean War, and then worked as a diesel mechanic for over 40 years.

He performed many jobs and was a true “Jack of all trades.”

He was able to fix any engine or mechanical problem and generously repaired neighbors’ lawnmowers and golf carts.

Jack was a member of the VFW Post 10376 in Marble Falls.

Emma Ronshausen Caraway

Sept. 10, 1920~Oct. 10, 2015

Emma Ronshausen Caraway of Kingsland, Texas. known as “Nana,” died peacefully and went to her savior's arms on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at the age of 95.

Emma was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Cost, Texas, to Sofie and Henry Cuvelier, who arrived in the United States through Ellis Island from Belgium in the 1800s. 

She eventually moved to the Texas Hill Country settling in Kingsland. 

Emma lived a full life experiencing close to a century of changes in the America, such as The Great Depression, World War II, Women’s Rights and Civil Rights.   

Her life experiences and her belief in the lord gave her strength to become a strong woman of character and faith. 

Rebecca Sue Collins Ray

March 4, 1947~Oct. 14, 2015

Rebecca “Becky” Sue Collins Ray passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, surrounded by her family. 

Becky was born on March 4, 1947. She grew up in Belton, Texas, and graduated from Belton High School in 1965.

She married Jerry Ray on Nov. 9, 1990.

After living in Corpus Christi and Wintersprings, Florida, they retired in Granite Shoals.

Becky was preceded in death by: her father, Melvin Collins; her mother, Johnnie Collins, and brother, Charles Collins.

She is survived by: her husband of 24 years, Jerry Ray; children, Melissa Hill and husband, Scott, Kenneth Love and wife, Regay; sister and brother-in-law Fran and Hugh Hall; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Sybil Collins; sister-in-law, Sandy Collins; step-daughter, Suzanne Ort and husband, Phil, and step-son, Charles Ray. 

Euclid Uel Phipps

May 8, 1922~Oct. 17, 2015

Euclid Uel Phipps, 93, of Cottonwood Shores, Texas, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015.

He was born May 8, 1922, in San Antonio, Texas, to Uel and Vera Phipps.

Euclid loved his wife, kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids.

He loved to piddle around the house outside, his John Wayne collection and travel.

Euclid was the 2014-2015 President of the Marble Falls Noon Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by: his first wife, Rosemary, and a son, William Edward Phipps.

Family left behind to remember him include: his wife, Marjorie McKinnerney Phipps; children, Rosalie Ann Phipps Patterson and husband, Edward, Robert Euclid Phipps, Margaret Jeanette Strube, Patricia Gay Phipps Pietzsch and husband, Keith, and  Ronald Dale Phipps.

Dorothy Emily Spencer Payne

Aug. 16, 1918~Sept. 18, 2015

Dorothy "Dottie" Emily Spencer Payne, 97, of Diamond City, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015.   

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Diamond City at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015. with the Revs. Don Rose and Don Reichers officiating.   

Dottie was born on Aug. 16, 1918, in Williamson County, Texas, to James Theodore and Lillie Bessie (Stanford) Spencer.  She was the fourth out of five children, all of whom preceded her in death. 

Dottie attended Nixon-Clay Business College in Austin, Texas. 

She worked for Montgomery Ward for 33 years as a bookkeeper.   

Dottie retired with her husband, Cecil Lemoyne Payne, to Spicewood, Texas, where she was a water meter reader and billing clerk for the community. 

She worked as a volunteer for numerous charitable organizations throughout her life. 

Lindsey Elaine Walker

Feb. 1, 1955- Oct. 2, 2015

Lindsey Elaine Walker, 60, of Marble Falls, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2015, in Fredericksburg, Texas. 

Lindsey was born on Feb. 1, 1955, in Lubbock, Texas, to John Clifford Teel and Deloris Stanley Teel. She was the only girl out of four siblings.

Lindsey married Roy Wayne Walker in El Paso on Aug. 10, 1974, and they had a special relationship filled with lots of love. He survives.

Lindsey worked as a paraprofessional for different school districts including Kermit Independent School District (ISD,) Odessa ISD, and Johnson City ISD. 

She loved children, and she especially enjoyed teaching them. Lindsey had a positive energy that she passed on to everyone she worked with.

She was a Christian woman who loved God. Anyone who met her knew of her love for Him by her words and actions.

Ben William Warton II

April 7, 1947~Sept. 30, 2015

Ben William Warton II went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at the age of 68 years.

He was born on April 7, 1947, in Stamford, Texas, the son of Ben “Bill” William Warton Sr. and Pauline Warton.

He attended Sweetwater High School, Western Texas College and Texas Tech University.

Ben was a minister at the Snyder First Baptist Church, director of MHMR in Abilene, Texas, director of Bluebonnet MHMR in Marble Falls and a private practice counselor in Marble Falls, Texas.

The many people who were blessed to have known Ben knew him as the most loving and gentle individual they had ever met.

With a servant's heart, influential counsel and sensitivity towards others needs, Ben never missed a moment to be there for someone.

Linda Cullum Adams

Oct. 10, 1938 – Oct. 6, 2015

Linda Cullum Adams went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015.

She was married to Senator Don Adams for 52 years and they lived in Blue Lake in Llano County, Texas.

Linda was a very active volunteer until she was struck down with Alzheimer’s. She was a children's advocate with the Highland Lakes CASA in Kingsland, Texas, and in Austin, and also volunteered with Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center in Burnet, Texas. She was recognized for her outstanding CASA service by the Travis County CASA organization.

Linda taught a Sunday School class for three-year-old children, while a member of Bannockburn Baptist Church and a women's Sunday School class when she was a member of the Baptist Church in Springwood.

She was in the first class of docents of the Governor’s Mansion. And, she served as a docent for 30 years.
