Lady Flames improve to 19-5

Faith Academy will be looking for reach the 20-win plateau Friday night when the Lady Flames travel to Concordia for a TAPPS Class 3A district contest.

The Lady Flames (19-5) won three of four games in last week’s Burnet holiday tournament, beating Class 6A Austin Akins, 4A Lampasas and 4A Burnet. The only loss in the public school tournament was to 4A Wimberley.

On Tuesday, the Lady Flames demolished San Antonio St. Anthony 56-25.

Mustangs show effort in fourth quarter

Marble Falls woke up in the fourth quarter, but it was too late in a 65-53 loss to Dripping Springs on the road Tuesday night.

The Mustangs put together a stretch where they scored 17 points in a three-minute span to cut the final margin.

Josh Mosley, Ethan Riley and Andrew Stripling combined for 23 points in the fourth quarter.

Bank supports girls' basketball program

American Bank of Texas senior vice president J.Don McAlpin presented a check of $2,000 to the Marble Falls girsl' basketball program on Thursday. American Bank of Texas is the title sponsor of the Marble Falls annual girls tournament. The tournament begins Thursday, Nov. 19 at Max Copeland Gymnasium. Coach of the Lady Mustangs is David Schubert.

American Bank of Texas is the title sponsor of the Marble Falls annual girls tournament. The tournament begins Thursday, Nov. 19 at Max Copeland Gymnasium. Coach of the Lady Mustangs is David Schubert.

Marble Falls defeats East View, 27-9

Marble Falls junior running back Dalton Mayberry rushed for a career-high 161 yards and scored two touchdowns rushing and the Mustangs defense had several big plays led by senior lineman Alex Roman and junior linebacker Heath Dooley to soundly defeat Georgetown East View Friday in Georgetown.

Marble Falls finished the season with a 3-7 record. It was the final game for 18 seniors.

Mustangs don't come close against No. 1 Wolves

Cedar Park needed just eight snaps from scrimmage to take control of Friday's clash with Marble Falls.

Playing solid field position, the Timberwolves jumped to an early three-touchdown lead and went on to coast to a 51-3 District 25-5A victory over Marble Falls at Mustang Stadium.

Cedar Park wa led by running back Tyler Lavine, who rushed for 87 ayrds n seven carries and scored three touchdowns.

Marble Falls (2-6, 0-5) was no match for the Class 5A No. 1 state-ranked Timberwolves.

Cedar Park is 8-0 on the season and 5-0 in district play.

Leander defensive touchdowns help Lions

Leander used two defensive touchdowns to help hold off Marble Falls in a District 25-5A football game at Bible Stdium Friday. Leander won, 42-28, behind a strong performance from recievers Gabe Sanchez and Dalton Flowers. Sanchez caught 11 passes for 123 yards and Flowers had three catches for 132 yards and two scores.

Marble Falls (2-5, 0-4) faces No. 1 state-ranked Cedar Park at Mustang Stadium this week.
