James Lloyd Standly of Marble Falls (84) passed away on August 22, 2019. He was born March 31, 1935, in Bynum, Texas where he was also raised.

His parents, Charley and Floria Standly are deceased. James graduated from Bynum High School in 1953 and from Abilene Christian University in 1958.

Jerry A. Baumann, 73, passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 23,2019 following a battle with coronary artery disease and diabetes. Born in Fredericksburg, Texas on Jan. 8, 1946, he is the eldest son of Hugo Charles Baumann and Norma Thekla Reeh Baumann.

James B. "Jimmy" Palmer

James B. “Jimmy” Palmer passed into peace on July 17, 2019. Born June 13, 1948 to Hannah Engelbart Palmer and Marion Fred Palmer, he lived in Smithwick after his father passed away and Hannah married Layton B. “Jim” Cox.

He was a country boy until the day he died. He was a fine Christian husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

A memorial service will be held at the Lewis Lakeview Pavilion at 930 County Road 343A on the river in Smithwick on Aug. 17 at 11 a.m.; a potluck dinner will follow the service.

All are invited to come share stories about the gentle giant.

An adventurous soul and a free spirit, Frances Lynn Grayless, climbed her final mountain on August 9, 2019, where she is now enjoying breathtaking views and endless sunshine. 

Growing up in Texas, Fran spent treasured moments with her cousins, Becky and Virginia, at their grandparents’ house. Her Papa was very special to her and was known for teaching her life lessons – including a very memorable one that involved a chicken yard, a shovel and snow cones.

A celebration of Branard’s life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at Lake Shores Church, 704 North Hwy 281, Marble Falls, with Gene Glaeser officiating. Branard always saw the joy in life so his family encourages those attending to dress in colors and comfort.
