Karen N. (Kauppi) LeBlanc, 72 years old, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, in Marble Falls. 
Karen grew up in Ironwood, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
She then enjoyed time in California, New Hampshire, and finally settled in the Texas hill country.
Karen was born Oct. 20, 1943, in Ironwood, Michigan, a daughter of Walter and Margaret (Rowe) Kauppi, and attended the Ironwood area schools.
Karen was known as a wonderful singer.
She enjoyed reading, writing, listening to music, and caring for her cats.
She also loved birds, flowers, and plants.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Kenneth “Honeyman” Snider passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at age 70.

Ken was born on Sept. 18, 1945 to Celina (Gildersleeve) and George Snider.

Celebration of Life ceremony for Ken will be held at Forno’s Waterfront Bar and Grill on Lake LBJ on Saturday, June 18, beginning at 1 p.m.

A Celebration of Life ceremony is also being planned in the Alton, Illinois area where he was from, details to be announced at a later date.

Ken graduated high school in 1963 from Woodriver High School in Illinois.

He was also a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in Accounting.

Ken retired in 2000.

Ken had an engaging personality and was always the life of the party taking over the dance floor.

He spent most of his time on the golf course, working in his yard, trying new recipes, and his latest hobby, brewing and drinking his own beer.

Kenneth ‘Ken’ Melvin Antley passed away at home in Marble Falls on Thursday, May 5, 2016.

He was born on May 21, 1957, in Texas City, to Morris Melvin Antley and Melba Wiggins Antley.

He graduated from Lamarque High School where he was an All State football player.

He earned an associate degree from ITT Tech and was employed by Fluid Balance International.

Ken's interests included collecting guns and knives, riding motorcycles, and watching sports.

He was often found working on such projects as building a canoe and a boat.

Having grown up near the coast, he was happiest when he was on the water fishing and boating.

He was a grill master known for steaks, ribs, brisket, and his most favorite, shrimp.

Ken enjoyed attending Round Rock Express and Texas Ranger baseball games with family and riding motorcycles with friends.

He spent every holiday with family.

Deanna was born on May 26, 1941 in Galveston, Texas to Ernest Dean Dorchester, Jr. and Julia Frances (Ebeling) Dorchester.
Deanna graduated from Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, class of 1959.
She graduated from the University of Texas, Austin, Texas with a B.A. degree in English, in 1963.
Deanna wed Edward William Bradshaw, Jr. at Central Methodist Church in Galveston, Texas on June 29, 1963.
Deanna was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at The University of Texas.
She was a past member of The Junior League of Galveston County, The Garden Club of Dickinson and Friends of the Library in Dickinson.

Stanley Elbert Crone passed away peacefully at home and joined his Father in Heaven on Sunday, May 8, 2016.
Stan was born July 22, 1930 to Claude and Dollie Crone in Childress, Texas.
He joined the Navy and served his country from 1948-1950 at which time he was honorably discharged to care for his mother.
Stanley met the love of his life, Pauline Hanna, in Turkey, Texas and they were united in marriage on June 16, 1951.
They made their home in Carlsbad, New Mexico where he worked for Potash Company of America as an electrician.
Stan and Polly were blessed with two beautiful children, Trisha and Gary.
They moved to Port Lavaca, Texas in 1967 where he worked as an Electrical Supervisor until his retirement from Alcoa in 1992.

Billy Joe Parnell, 58, passed away on May 10, 2016, in Austin, Texas after battling a lengthy illness. He was the son of Harold and Mary (Hall) Parnell, born in Stephenville, Texas on August 17, 1957.
 
He worked as a printer for independent newspaper companies in Stephenville, Big Spring, Round Mountain and Marble Falls for more than 30 years and was retired prior to his passing.
 
When Billy was not working, he lived a life of volunteer service of others as a mentor and guide not only to his own children but to families and their children participating in youth sports such as football, basketball and baseball throughout the community.
 
He enjoyed coaching youth sports, camping with family and friends and attending sports and community events and music concerts.

Betty Jane Scherer Fest of Sunrise Beach Village passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016 at the age of 93.
She was born to Revillo Macy Scherer and Florence Elizabeth Whall on June 24, 1922 in San Antonio.
Betty married Frederick Francis Fest on Nov. 9, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas.
After retirement, Betty and Fred moved permanently to Sunrise Beach in 1984.
Fred predeceased Betty on May 5, 2006.
She is survived by daughter Sharon Sinkey and spouse, Gregory, of Holiday, Florida. Also surviving are nephews, James W. Nicholson, Jr., and wife, Cathy, of San Antonio, Texas and Billy Nicholson and wife, Jane, of Helotes, Texas.
Services will be held Friday, at 2 p.m., at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Interment follows at Sandy Mountain Cemetery in Sunrise Beach.

Dorothy “Dot” Ellen Hoyt Ballard, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 1, 2016.

 She was born on July 22, 1925 and raised in Columbia, South Carolina.

Dot married the love of her life in 1953, Hugh C. Ballard, and they started their life together in Norman, Oklahoma where Hugh played football at Oklahoma University.

Dot and Hugh continued their legacy in Dallas, raising three sons, Byron, Brett, and Bart. They retired in Austin, and after 49 years of marriage, Hugh joined the Lord, and Dot moved to Marble Falls.

It is impossible to choose Dot’s best attribute.
