Donald Wayne Bandy

Donald Wayne Bandy, 77, of Marble Falls died at his home May 4, 2016 surrounded by his family following an extended battle with metastatic lung cancer. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 6th, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7th, also at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home with Charles Hundley officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.

Don was born October 1, 1938 in Tokio, TX to Royal Hayden Bandy and Tincy Tucker Bandy. He attended school in Plains, Milsap and Weatherford and served in the United States Air Force at Keesler AFB (Biloxi, MS), Ellington AFB (Houston) and Tachikawa AFB (Tachikawa, Japan).

Opal Louise Penny Bess was born to James “Jack” Penny and Opal Mays Penny in Marble Falls Dec. 21, 1942.
She passed away peacefully April 20, 2016, at the age of 73, after giving her life to God.
She was also raised in Marble Falls and graduated from Marble Falls High School.
She later went to business college in Austin where she graduated to become a bookkeeper.
She lived a happy life close to her family on her property in Granite Shoals where she has a beautiful garden.
She gave herself the title of “head honcho” around the yard.

Nora Elizabeth Alderson Lacy was born Aug. 20, 1923 and died on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the age of 92.  
Nora and her husband, Jim, operated the R. E. Janes Gravel Co. in Abilene and raised their daughter, Carolyn.  Nora was an avid bowler in her younger years. 
She loved to go hunting and fishing in Colorado with her husband annually and tour the United States in the summers. 
She had many accomplishments such as receiving her GED at the age of 41.  
After living in Abilene for many years, upon her retirement from R. E. Janes Gravel Co., she moved to Mansfield to be closer to her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren and begin new careers and interests.

Eula Mae Ratliff, 87, of Granite Shoals, Texas died Monday, April 25, 2016.
Born Feb. 18, 1929 in Marble Falls, Texas, she was the daughter of William and Lenora Mae (Gilley) Pabst.
Eula was a homemaker.
Anchor She was a member of First Baptist Church of Marble Falls and of the Copeland Sunday School class.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Funeral service were held Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls with Rev. Weldon French officiating.
Burial followed at Six Mile Cemetery in Llano, Texas.

Doreen Howell Hare passed away peacefully at Seton Hospital in Burnet, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 11:05 a.m.

She was 82 years old. She was born Oct. 14, 1933 in Hull, England to the parents of Robert Norman and Gladys Gertrude Whitfield Howell.

She is survived by one brother, Bob Howell and two sisters, Elsie Howell McIntyre and Phylis Howell Abel, whome reside in England.

Her parents and two sisters, June Howell Last and Pauline Howell Jackson are deceased.

As a child living in England during WW2, she endured the terror of was with constant air raid bombings and V-2 rocket attacks.

As a teenager she enjoyed ice skating and roller derby.

At the age of twenty-one she married Kenneth (Rabbit) Hare, whome was serving a tour of duty with the U.S. Air Force in Margate, England.

Florence Anne Dippel Malitz, 96, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at an Austin area hospital.

She was born on June 30, 1919, in Brenham, Texas, to Annie Ustynik and Wilhelm Dippel.

On May 20, 1938, she married Robert Charles Malitz, III in Houston, Texas.

They were married 66 years until his death in 2005.

She was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Marble Falls for many years.

She and Robert enjoyed many miles of driving trips across the US.

In recent years, her real joy was a boat ride on Lake LBJ and spending the day outside at the lake with her family.

Betty Nell Maddux passed away peacefully in Burnet, Texas on Tuesday, April19, 2016 at the age of 86.
She was born in Malakoff, Texas to Allen C. Barton and Gladys L Hill Barton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Jeanne Barton Dickman, and husband Roy E. Maddux Jr.
Betty is survived by her sister Peggy Barton Cloud; stepson Roy E Maddux III and wife Cheryl; stepdaughters Sherrie Maddux Buendel and husband Jerry; Amy Maddux Fryar and husband Kelly; and six grandchildren. 
Loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, Betty was a strong, independent, and adventurous woman that loved spending her time travelling, relaxing along the coastal shores, hunting for fossils, and birding.

Shirley Genevieve Macrae, 84, of Horseshoe Bay, formerly of Wayne, New Jersey, was called by our lord Wednesday, April 20, 2016. 
Born in Newark, New Jersey, she lived in Wayne until 1997, before retiring with her loving husband, Robert Macrae, in Horseshoe Bay. 
Always more concerned for everyone’s welfare above her own, Shirley was employed as an RN at Wayne General Hospital for 26 years before retirement.
 She was the beloved wife of 63 years to Robert L. Macrae, dear mother of Scott Macrae and his wife Doreen, Craig Macrae and his wife Margaret, Barbara Gayle Toomes and her husband David, Nancy  Anderson and her husband Robert, and Tim Macrae and his wife Lisa.

Mary Anne Hill passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Marble Falls.
She was born and began thin life on Aug. 11, 1924 in ST. Louis, Missouri, and shortly thereafter was adopted by Mr. C. N. and Bessie Hardesty of Dupo, Illinois.
Due to one leg being shorter than the other, her parents introduced her to dancing. As a result dancing became her passion and love in life.
Mary Anne’s high school accomplishments included cheerleading, majorette and drum major.
She also taught young girls dancing in her parents basement.
During WWII she married and moved to F. Pierce, Florida.
While in Florida she gave birth to her only child, Billie Suzanne Leek.

Richard “Dick” Gilmour, 68, beloved husband, Dad, Papa, brother, and uncle entered Heaven on Sunday, April 17, 2016. 
Dick was born on June 28, 1947, in Long Branch, New Jersey, to Jack and Regina Gilmour.
Dick served in the Army Reserves after graduating from Notre Dame with a masters in electrical engineering and worked for IBM for 29 years.
Dick was a Bible teacher, little league coach and served on the Investment Board for Camp PenieI Christian Ministries, served as the School Board President of the First Baptist Church Christian School in Marble Falls, and served on a board for Harmony School of Creative Arts. Dick has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
